Using 100% cotton from the world's finest extra long staple cotton yarns, they are specially woven to give incredible strength and the greatest possible density. So dense in fact that they are used by surgeons in medical practice to prevent strike through of bacteria. A finishing treatment gives excellent durable water repellancy (DWR) causing rain to bead or pearl off the fabric in the manner of water off a newly waxed car. In prolonged and torrential rain, moisture will eventually cause the fibres to expand making the weave tighter still. Too tight in fact to let water in, yet still allowing body vapour to escape. These fabrics have no coating or bonding layer and can not in consequence break down or delaminate.
